In 1975, I graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Other than summer employment, five years in the military, and a couple of jobs totaling about three months, I have never had an employer. It wasn't always easy, and I have have had my share of failures. See my About Me page for more of my story.

Following the rules that once worked just a short time ago, it is tougher to be self-employed today than it ever has been. But the fact is, there are money-making opportunities today that are so cheap that the price of entry is almost free, in fact some are free. My favorites are the free and practically free ones. Some of these low cost opportunities will help fund bigger opportunities, and some are actually big enough, with enough time and effort, to support you and your family.

I will share the opportunities that have allowed me to make money, but it is not important that you follow my path. It is more important that you find something that fits your style and meets your needs.

I have found there are basically three types of people when it comes to money needs...

• There are those who want to make easy money that doesn't require a learning curve or much effort on their part.
• There are people who need to make money fast - yesterday would have been ideal.
• And there are people that desire to build a substantial, long-term income, maybe to replace the job that they currently have or previously had.
