A ClickBank Review

ClickBank is a legitimate way to make income by working at home. ClickBank is the leading retailer of digital products on the Internet. Basically, someone comes across a ClickBank ad while surfing the web, clicks on the ad link, and hopefully is intrigued enough to download the product.

The vast majority of downloads are instructional. ClickBank's homepage claims that it makes a sale every 3 seconds, with 26,000 digital transactions per day. This ClickBank review just covers the basics of how the company operates and my experience as an affiliate.ClickBank Logo PhotoAs an example, see my ClickBank ad at the bottom of this page at the bold print. (Don't worry about clicking on it. You will not be charged anything just by clicking): Cruise from Mobile.

I make a $23.25 commission when I make a sale from that ad. That is a generous commission. With high traffic and a good ClickBank product, a couple sales a day with that payout would put one over $1000 per month. But don't allow those statistics to overshadow the rest of this ClickBank review.

I haven't reached the $1000 point with ClickBank, but I am making money. As my traffic builds, so will clicks on my links and my commissions.

ClickBank is an affiliate program network and a payment processor. With a huge database of products and high commission rates, ClickBank is becoming increasingly popular with those who engage in affiliate marketing. Below mentioned are the two options by which you can make money with ClickBank.

a) You can create a product of your own and have affiliates promote it for you

b) You can promote the products already listed in the marketplace on ClickBank.

If you sign up as a vendor on ClickBank, you can get up to 100,000 affiliate marketers to promote your ebook, software or services. All you would need to do is create a product (usually in the form of an ebook download) that has a good demand and a website through which customers can buy your product. You might be pleased to know that people on the internet will surf hundreds of pages to find relevant information, which is why ebook vendors make a good income by providing quality information to their customers. For those of you who don't have the time, money or energy to write an ebook and create a website, you can opt to become an affiliate and promote what others have created.

You do not have to own a website to make money promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate. You can instantly start promoting affiliate products by writing articles which include your affiliate links. This method of promoting products is known as bum marketing or article marketing. Other methods of promoting affiliate products include Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, and email marketing. People make money this way, but it pales to the potential of ClickBank links on your own static website (like this one).

As a product vendor (where you own the product), ClickBank's tracking system and the fraud prevention system is efficient and simple to understand. Every time your affiliates make a sale for you, you will be notified and will receive your share of income. Today, ClickBank has a fraud prevention system that is always on the lookout for stolen credentials that enter the ClickBank networks, just to make sure that vendors don't lose money due to charge backs from credit card and payment processing companies. If you need any help as a vendor or an affiliate, you can always contact their customer support and they will help you out.

Any ClickBank review is going to point out the high commission rates and there is money making potential without question, but ClickBank is not something that one with no internet marketing experience can jump into and start making money. That would most likely lead to disappointment and possibly shake your confidence in your ability to make money on the Internet. The better path to take is to find a good place on the web and build quality content before you even begin to think about monetizing. Without targeted traffic, sales are unlikely. Then use easy monetization like Adsense, Infolinks, Chitika, or eBay (as an affiliate). Then experiment with ClickBank. If you have a website, ClickBank should just be one piece of your income stream.
