Downsizing with EBay

A few years ago, after spending 30 plus years in a modest but good-sized older home, I realized I was spending a good deal of time dusting and moving around a lot of books and other items that I really no longer had any interest in.
I first started on eBay selling books that my adult children and I had read and no longer had any interest in. I used this money to buy more books to read.
After I was fairly successful at selling the books, I decided to start getting rid of some vintage craft items that I had been storing. These had been my deceased mother's and grandmother's, and at first my intention was to work on these projects, but as many good intentions go, I realized that I would never get around to all of them.
Now every time I clean a closet or go through a drawer I run to the computer to look it up on eBay.
While cleaning out my daughter's closet I found some doll shoes from her childhood and sold them on EBAY for $16, I know not a lot of money but they went to someone who wanted them and I made a small profit!
I have sold a lot of items that many would have thrown out and that makes feel pretty green and pretty happy.
So before tossing a used usable item check eBay. If it doesn't sell on eBay try their new free service ebayclassifieds.com.
