I Love Blogger!

by P B S
(Alpharetta, GA, USA)

I loved to read editorial sections and opinion pieces in magazines and newspapers. In the last few years that love has gotten me into the habit of reading random blogs and reading blogs of friends, just to read about their thoughts and opinions on everything! I started a blog about 5 years ago but abandoned it within the same year. I did not have the time to keep up with maintaining a blog, especially as I was busy with college.

I started a fresh blog about 2 years ago, and I have gotten into the habit of jotting down thoughts and ideas into it whenever I have the time. Blogger is so simple to use, that really anybody can be a blogger. I have even encouraged my father to start a blog!

I have several blogs now and the dashboard gives an overview of all the blogs including the privacy settings and it is very easy to use. I have a private blog that serves as a personal diary, another private blog with a collection of my poems, a public blog about random things in my life, a shared blog to share photos and thoughts with my significant other.

Also, it's so easy to add widgets and I love adding widgets for clocks and traffic related ones to see where the readers of my blog are from. I have also added a link to Shelfari where I can list what books that I am currently reading.

Best of all, I can add comic strips into the blog too! My favorite is Dilbert and it motivates me to open up my blog everyday just to read the comic strip! I have a friend who has things like astronomy charts and movement of stars as widgets on to her blog. There are hundreds of different widgets to choose from. Blogger allows a reasonable amount of customization for an average blogger, and there is nothing more I could ask for!
