Making Money at Elance As a Freelance Writer

I’ve made money as a freelance writer on Elance. It’s a subscription website that charges $30 for a basic membership. After you’ve registered to become a member, you can browse through the jobs that are available and bid on the ones that you’re interested in writing about.

If your bid is selected you submit your writing and the buyer pays you the amount that you agreed upon.

You don’t have to be a professional writer to use this site. If English is your first language, you know how to surf the web and you know how to email, you can probably be paid to write there.

There are two types of memberships available, basic for $30 and select which is $150 for a three-month period. Which membership you have determines which jobs you can bid on. Obviously the select jobs pay more.

I’m new to Elance so I have a basic membership. But I’ve been doing well and plan to upgrade to the select membership very soon. I’m enjoying being a freelance writer and profiting from it in my spare time.

If you’re new to writing, you may want to do some research before becoming a member of Elance regarding how much you could possibly make and whether or not it would be profitable for you to pay the membership fees or not. I think that it’s worth a try if you have any interest in writing. If you know how to write you can make money. It just takes a little time and patience.
