Making Money with CafePress

by Lynn
(Akron, OH, USA)

CafePress is a wonderful way for artists like myself to sell my art. With stores there, you place your own designs on products that that they display. Then you make a commission from the items that sell. They only put your design on the product if someone puts in an order.

Setting up a store at CafePress is really a simple process. You simply upload your designs and choose the products that you’d like your designs to be placed on. There is a large selection of items to choose from. You can set up a free store, but the items that you can offer are limited. Or you can pay a monthly or yearly fee to have a store that has more options. I would suggest starting out with the free store and then if that goes well to upgrade to the store that requires you to pay a fee.

It is possible to make money on CafePress. You have to put a little effort into it, but most of the work is done when you set up your store. Once that’s done you just wait on the orders. CafePress handles the selling and shipping and you make money. I’m definitely not getting rich from the items that I sell on CafePress, but it is a nice second income. One piece of advice that I have is to give the link to your store to your friends, associates, and relatives. Or even make some business cards to hand out to people that you know. The more people that know about it means the more money you’ll be making.
