Fast, Easy Money Can Be
Made at Mechanical Turk

A provider on MTurk is not going to get rich there. One HIT pays an amount from a few cents to a few dollars, with the vast majority at the low end of that range. A provider can be awarded a bonus for good work, but I have no idea how often that happens.

MTurk is the only website that I have found on the Internet where a person can without question make money and make it almost immediately after sign up. That's a huge thing for those who need money fast to pay a bill or just a need a little bit more to get through the month financially.

I also think MTurk could be very beneficial for those who eventually want to own their own content on websites and blogs. That first profit, even if it is small, is often all the proof a person needs that it is possible to make money on the Internet. (My first profit was an 8 cent payout at Squidoo). Those who can't afford website expenses can sign up with MTurk and paying for a website will no longer be a problem.

Some who become proficient at working Mechanical Turk make several hundred dollars a month from it. Providers use a variety of strategies for making as much money possible during one session. A provider can use search parameters for "pay per HIT." Some had rather concentrate on higher paying HITS, usually $1 and above, that takes more time. Others had rather do the fast, easy ones and rack up the nickles, dimes and quarters quickly.

The money that you make will go into an Amazon.com account, and from there it can either be transferred to a bank account or used to purchase products at Amazon. The later is a great way to make money for Christmas gifts and save it for that purpose at the same time.

A HIT submission can be rejected by the requester. Get too many rejections and you will not be able to continue working as a provider. Even before that happens, if your rating goes down you might be ineligible for higher paying hits because the requester can set search parameters to weed out providers with low ratings. Regardless of what the HIT pays, read the HIT carefully and be responsible. The more the HIT pays, the more time you should take with your submission. If the HIT requires writing, make sure your submission is grammatically correct with no misspelled words.

A new provider should probably take on the easier, low paying HITS first so they can become accustomed to the system and build a high rating early.
