The next question is going to inevitably be "What is Adsense?"Everybody who surfs the internet has seen "Ads by Google." They usually show up as boxes, images, or links. So it just depends .... If you have studied web marketing in the past, you might remember the phrase "Content is King." Well it is still true. Good content is a crucial to making money on the internet, and the more original content that you build (in other words, the more web pages), the more Adsense earning potential. Small websites generally do not do well with Adsense, even if the traffic is good. If you are serious about making money with Adsense, do not pull the cart before the horse. Build a quality website about a subject you are passionate about, or one where you have more knowledge than the average person. The majority of people today use the internet to solve problems and have questions answered. Provide lots of content that fills those needs and you are on your way to making money with Adsense. I had a blog before I built my first website. I have owned the blog for more than two years and it gets good traffic. Adsense has never done well on my blog, so a couple weeks ago I threw in the towel and took the ads off. On the other hand, my websites do great with Adsense, and it keeps getting better. So from my experience, if you are looking for Adsense revenue build a website, a big one. Once you get your first site making money with Adsense, start thinking of a new subject for another site. That's where the money is. Lots of good content on static websites. Effective Adsense implementation is more than just pasting some ads wherever they look good at the moment, so certainly you should research strategies for making money. But don't go down too many twisting trails to gain knowledge. There are some very knowledgeable people on the web who are willing to share their knowledge, but there are more who don't know what they are talking about. I had my first website for about six months before I found someone with a real track record who could point me in the right direction. The best thing about Adsense is it usually gets better over time, and it is money that will keep rolling your way for years in the future. Once you put your ads on your site, you are done.
